GL manufactures pistons and liners up to 500mm
diameter for diesel, gas, dual-fuel and other type of
engines. Annual production capacity for
pistons is 1.000.000 and
for liners it is 500.000.
.
Our piston & liner production history goes back to
1987. Today, our piston & liner manufacturing takes
place in Konya with its OEM production experience
in 30.000 m² factory, with a high technology
laboratory, with more than 200 employees. Each
step of the manufacturing process is designed
to meet the OEM production standards. GL
currently manufactures 360 different pistons and
180 different liners. Additionally, the company
manufactures supplementary product such as pins
& retainers. GL is capable of manufacturing special
design pins using 3 sequential processes with fully
automated grinding line and lapping facility.
GL is capable of producing articulated pistons:
» Forged steel
» Aluminum alloy
» Nodular cast iron
» Steel
Centrifugal casting method which produces
higher quality liners compared to the static casting
method is applied in the liner production.
Quality
We guarantee our products quality by
implementing DIN EN ISO 9001-2008, TS 16949
quality standards in every phase of our production.
GL employs latest technology machinery of
Japanese, German, Taiwan origin. Quality control
is operated with high precision machinery to
achieve 100% quality.
Quality Control
GL applies quality control during and after
production. Every single piston, liner and the
supplementary products pass through the quality
control steps stated below:
» Material chemical analysis
» Casting micro structure control & etc.
» Universal hardness control
» Micro hardness tests
» Hardness depth control (especially forpins)
» Ultrasonic alpine sticking test
» 100% eye control
» 100% precision dimension controls with CMM
machines.
Additionally, round test, digital height
measurement, surface roughness measurement,
volume measurement and coordinate
measurements can be applied in our laboratory.
GL manufactures crankshafts up to 4000 mm long and to maximum weight of 3 tons for diesel, gas, dual-fuel and different type of engines and models from 4 cylinders up to 24 cylinders.
GL Crankshafts are manufactured up to the OEM / GENUINE specifications.
The steps applied during the manufacturing process are:
• Chemical combination and spectrometer analyses of original crankshafts
• Machining Operations
» Rough machining lathes
» Orbital milling machines
» Automatic drilling machines
» Grinding machines
» Machining centers
» Balancing machines
» Polishing machines
» Fillet rolling machines
• Hardening Process
» The crankshaft hardness after induction hardening
» Continuous and homogeneous hardness
» High corrosion resistance
